'Bond 24' Title Is 'Spectre' - Cast, Plot, New Car Revealed (VIDEO)

After what feels like an eternity for James Bond fans since Skyfall, Oscar-winning director Sam Mendes hit the 007 Stage at Pinewood Studios to finally reveal the title for Bond 24:

SPECTRE

It's true! After settling up with the estate of Kevin McClory, the co-creator of the icon Bond villain Blofeld, MGM can not only bring back Blofeld, but also the criminal organization to which he was tied, the same organization which bears the title of the film: SPECTRE (or Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion). That's a huge part of Bond canon that's now back in play, and we couldn't be more stoked about it, namely because the film has a killer cast lined up to bring it all to life.

The live streaming announcement included confirmation of the newest cast members to join the franchise: in addition to two-time Oscar winner Christoph Waltz, the cast will be joined by Sherlock alum Andrew Scott, Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista, The Matrix vet Monica Bellucci and Blue Is the Warmest Color star Léa Seydoux.

As for their specific roles, Waltz will play Oberhauser (rumored to be a cover name for Blofeld himself), Seydoux will play Madeleine Swann and Bellucci will play Lucia Sciarra. Bautista will take on the role of Mr. Hinx, while Scott will play Denbigh. They join a cast that includes Daniel Craig as James Bond, Rory Kinnear as Tanner, Ben Whishaw as Q, Naomie Harris as Miss Moneypenny and Ralph Fiennes as the new M.

Also, Interstellar cinematograther Hoyte Van Hoytema and editor Lee Smith will work alongside Mendes to bring the unmistakable visual signature they offered to Christopher Nolan's blockbuster. The film will be shot, in part, at Pinewood Studios. However, other shooting locations include London, Mexico City, Rome, Erfoud, Tangier and the Austrian Alps. So yeah, expect things to get exotic.

The logline for Spectre doesn't give us much about the plot, but it gives us enough to start speculating: “A cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organization. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE.”

Of course, while knowing some of the plot is all well and good, one of the big takeaways from all this is that Bond has a new car! He'll be cruising around in an Aston Martin DB10, a ride designed specially for Spectre. Powered by a V12, and built on a classic Aston chassis, the DB10 is basically sex on wheels:

You can see Bond zoom around in the DB10 when Spectre hits theaters on November 6, 2015. Until then, check out the animated title reveal below:
