Bobby Womack dead at 70
Soul legend Bobby Womack had died. He was 70.
The singer had been suffering from colon cancer and diabetes, though he was declared cancer-free in 2012. The cause of his death is still unknown.
Womack was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009.
His career started in 1960 as member of Curtis Womack and the Womack Brothers. They changed their name to The Valentinos and their hit song "It's All Over Now" was covered by the Rolling Stones which went to No. 1 in the U.K.
Womack revived his career in 1981 with the R&B hit "If You Think You're Lonely Now."
