Boardwalk Empire - Season Premiere
So I watched HBO's Boardwalk Empire last night and it was really good. The setting is 1920's Atlantic City during the Prohibition Era where organized crime was taking its roots.
I don't watch too many gangster movies or TV, so to my eye this was quite engaging.
First of all, the cinematography was exquisite. This is a TV series? Wow. It looked like a movie.
Secondly, Steve Buscemi is fantastic. Looking forward to his performances for the rest of the series.
Finally, for the pilot, I just loved the moment where Al Capone introduced himself. I thought that the was the highlight, and it really got the episode going.
Yes. What an impressive season premiere.
Boardwalk Empire is produced by Mark Whalberg and the premiere was directed by Martin Scorsese.
