Robin Thicke + Pharrell Williams 'Blurred Lines' Case Going to Trial

The bad news keeps rolling in for Robin Thicke. This time, he and Pharrell Williams will be going to trial over their hit, non-consensual themed song "Blurred Lines."

Last year plagiarism claims were filed by the family of Marvin Gaye, who said the song sounded suspiciously like Gaye's "Got to Give it Up."

In turn, Thicke and Williams requested a judge deny these claims, which has been slapped down after said judge listened to analyses from music experts who evaluated the songs.

The trial itself is scheduled to begin on Feb. 10 in Los Angeles.

A lawyer for the musical dual of Thicke and Pharrell said after the ruling that he is confident they will win at trial as the songs will only be compared at the sheet music level versus how they sound to listeners.
