Billy Crystal Pays Tribute to Robin Williams at the Emmys 2014 (VIDEO)

The 66th Primetime Emmy Awards were a night of celebration, as TV's best shows were honored in a three-hour ceremony that featured...well, not that many surprises in the winners' circle. But good television wasn't the only subject that was honored on the telecast, as Billy Crystal delivered a stirring tribute to his longtime friend, Robin Williams.

In a speech followed by clips of Williams on The Tonight Show, Inside the Actors Studio, and his 1986 special A Night at the Met, Crystal would proceed to share a humorous story about Robin from their time together at Comic Relief Day at New York's Shea Stadium, before reflecting on the immensity of the comedy world's loss. I don't want to recount the entire speech because it's better to just watch it (seriously, all my feelings were compromised), but this particular nugget was just beautiful:

"For almost 40 years, he was the brightest star in the comedy galaxy...[His] beautiful light will continue to shine on us forever. And the glow will be so bright, it'll warm your heart. It'll make your eyes glisten. And you'll think to yourselves: Robin Williams. What a concept."
