Billboard Hot 100: Gotye on top for 8th week
For the eighth week in a row, Belgian/Aussie troubadour Gotye is at the top of the heap with his monster hit "Somebody That I Used to Know". It Girl and former Canadian Idol finalist Carly Rae Jepsen is hot on his heels and, according to Billboard, could take the crown as soon as next week with her ubiquitous smash "Call Me Maybe".
With "Maybe" up by 2% in overall Hot 100 points and "Somebody" down by 2%, momentum continues in Jepsen's favor as she seeks to dethrone Gotye's smash perhaps as soon as next week.Further down the chart, Adam Levine falls down one to #3 with Maroon 5's "Payphone", Justin Bieber debuts at #17 with "Died in Your Arms" as his hit "Boyfriend" moves up one to #7, and Rickey.org favorite One Direction also moves up one to #6 with "What Makes You Beautiful".
