I can't believe this hasn't happened already. One of the most popular comedies on the air at the moment is set to add everyone's favorite science guy for an appearance. Following the news that Bob Newhart would be returning to The Big Bang Theory, it was also announced that Bill Nye would be appearing in an upcoming episode as well. Bill is set to play himself.

Via THR:

CBS' The Big Bang Theory is welcoming back Emmy winner Bob Newhart for a November episode that will also feature Bill Nye.

Newhart will reprise his role in the Nov. 7 episode when his Professor Proton contacts Leonard (Johnny Galecki) to ask for help with an experiment and a scorned Sheldon seeks revenge by befriending a rival science TV host in Nye -- aka "The Science Guy."

The Big Bang Theory airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on CBS.

Bill! Bill! Bill!
