Bill Hader Comes Home to SNL in New 'Saturday Night Live' Promos (VIDEO)

During his eight-year run on Saturday Night Live, Bill Hader earned a Supporting Actor Emmy nomination, created a breakout character with Stefon, and generally became one of the most dependable, versatile performers in the 40-year history of the show. And now, he's returning home again as a first-time host for the 40th Season of SNL.

Of course, in the two years he's been gone, Hader has missed his fair share of developments around the SNL studio. These new promos for this Saturday night's show suggest that Hader has a lot of catching up to do.

Eager to find out what's changed since he's been gone, Hader asks cast member Keenan Thompson what's new: “They renovated the bathroom, there’s spaghetti and meatballs in the cafeteria, and we’ve got a ton of black people now,” Thompson responds, in a humorous reference to SNL's recent diversification efforts amid public scrutiny that the show was too white.

But that's not all, as these promos also feature a surprising reenactment of Keenan's iconic "What's Up With That?" sketch, among other amusing bits that will tease Hader's first appearance as host. So check out the videos below, and then watch this Saturday as Hader hosts with musical guest Hozier:
