Big Love - The Oath - Recap

Bill struggles with the tensions between his wives while he tries to secure his place within the Senate. His swearing in ceremony is fast approaching and he's still under the impression that with a few loopholes he's going to get everyone accepting of him. It seems like the family is trying to forget Margie's bombshell revelation from last week. Everyone but Nicki of course who is holding on to that grudge with a death grip. She loves to start trouble doesn't she? She gives Margie a new birth certificate but doesn't mind calling Margene damaged goods and telling Bill that Barb is disgusted with him.

Barb's feelings are hard to read. She seems horrified that a 16 year old was in bed with "her" husband but it seems to fuel her determination for equal rights within their religion. I wonder what exactly is in that juice Margene is so keen on selling. It seems to be making her loopy. Or at least, much more spiritual than usual. After confronting Bill in a parking lot, she accidentally hits him with the car and gives him a concussion. Just what he needs right before his ceremony.

Bill and Barb finally decide to tell Lois the truth about what's wrong with her. It's so heartbreaking. What she doesn't know is that it could have been prevented. Bill is furious with Frank and blames him. When Barb doesn't understand why, he tells her that Frank gave Lois Herpes years and years ago. Dementia is a result of an untreated disease like Herpes. Poor Lois :(

Over in creepyville, Cara Lynn has no one to turn to that understands her grief over her father. Her creepy teacher gives her his number in case she ever wants to talk. Something's funny with that guy. Cara Lynn decides to reach out to the only family member that will talk to her and meets up with one of her cousins at the movies. And SURPRISE! He shows up with his new baby and wife..RHONDA. I missed that lunatic. She and her new hubby don't waste time before going to Alby to try and blackmail him for money. They get nowhere but Alby seems to either like what he sees or intends to use Rhonda's man for something sinister. Revenge on Bill perhaps?

Bill has a creepy dream sequence while he's in the hospital. It's almost like he's either traveled back in time or he's in heaven. Joseph Smith and his wife are there along with a very happy looking Lois. What does it mean? Is this foreshadowing of Bill becoming Prophet?
