Big Love - Exorcism - Recap

The family is on edge after Nicki's brush with death leaves her even more insane than usual. With Alby on the run, Bill has police patrolling the streets and guns in everyone's purse. I'm so ready for one of those guns to be used. This season has been pretty lackluster in terms of OMG moments. The wives worry about what will happen to them if Bill does end up going to prison. While Bill begins the purging and tearing down of fences at the compound, he finds himself drifting farther apart from Barb after she joins a new church. What is it about Barb that Bill finds so threatening? Is it really that big of a deal? A bigger deal? Margene wanting to carry Bill's baby again so she can visit him if he goes to prison. Aren't they having money troubles? Sheesh Margie. You don't think things through.

Ben is having his own girl troubles but does anyone really care? To be honest, I was kind of hoping he'd be the shock death of the season but no such luck so far. Rhonda is staying with the family after the murder of her husband. Instead of taking care of her baby, she's busy destroying Ben's relationship with Heather. Considering her and Ben had sex, and Rhonda doesn't want to take care of herself or her kid, she thinks it's only plausible that Ben marry her. Not happening. To get revenge, she tells Heather about her one night stand with Ben. Ben tries to smooth things over by saying he can be with both of them. Yeah. That's not gonna work Benjamin.

Coping with her shame, Nicki wants to keep Cara Lynn and her teacher a secret from the rest of the family. She scopes out an incredibly creepy boarding school that probably abuses its students and wants to send Cara Lynn there without telling anyone. Yikes. If I were her I would have run too. Nicki projects her own shame and damaged upbringing onto her daughter causing both of them to have a breakdown of sorts. Cara Lynn burns all her books in the BBQ and Nicki hurls her laundry around her bedroom while Bill tries to calm her down. Nicki breakdowns are the best. Always Emmy worthy.

Frank signs Lois out of her nursing home and doesn't bring her back. They head to Juniper Creek so Frank can work on some of the houses but I can't quite understand what his plan is. Lois asks him once again to end her suffering and that's the last we see of them. I half expected this episode to end with them both dead somewhere in a semi romantic way but by the end of the episode Lois is back in her home. What the heck? Maybe next week.

Alby is hiding out with his mother and he asks her to kill Bill for him before they flee to Mexico together. Adaleen is hesitant but always stands by her son. Why? I have no idea. Perhaps on their way to do the deed, they go to the bathroom at a Juniper Creek pit stop and no one is more surprised when they find themselves face to face with Barb and Bill. Everyone has an epic look of shock on their face before Alby runs out the back and Bill goes after him. Adaleen pulls a gun on Barb, who manages to get the gun away from her with just a bite to show for her troubles. Bill ends up losing Alby when he hears the gunshots and fears that Barb may be hurt. See Bill? Barb can take care of things. Bill and Alby once again find themselves at a stand off when Alby shows up to his office. Bill ends up shooting him in the arm but doesn't finish the job. What's next for Alby? Will Bill just let him go?
