Big Brother 14 - Recap - 07/15/2012

It's the first nominations of Big Brother 14.

Willie Hantz of Team Britney is the HOH. Who did he nominate?

Off the bat, Dan and Boogie form an alliance. Janelle and Britney do the same. Janelle has a lot of bad blood against Boogie so it was only natural that he approached Dan (though Britney may have been an option too). Nevertheless, the coaches forming alliances early has set the tone for the game this season: It's us vs. them -- don't trust Boogie!

New thing this season: The coach of the HOH also gets an HOH room! (The old Pandora's Box room). Britney was a bit freaked out that there was no door between the rooms.

Janelle and Britney make it official with their team members that they are in alliance, at least for two weeks. They have a solid 6 votes controlling the house. Willie however, is thinking long term and forms a side deal with Frank from Team Boogie.

(Oh, and Willie revealed to his team that he is indeed Russell Hantz's brother. I don't know if the entire house knows this now.)

Ian, who every one is calling a "creeper," is the early target for Willie since everyone seems to hate him. It looks like that's going to be the nomination.

Boogie and Frank talk, and Frank reveals that he is comfortable that he won't be nominated. Boogie thinks it's because of Frank's relationship with Willie -- and he's happy that his player is playing hard early.

The Coaches' Competition

New this season: The coaches compete for a brand new power: The winner can grant one of their players safety for the week and cannot be nominated. Nice.

The Coaches' Competition also determines the "Have Nots" for the week. Ouch. Britney is worried because she sucks at comps!

The Competition: "Horse" Race.

Dan threw the competition, trying to put the spotlight on Janelle that she's good in competitions and everyone should be afraid of her.

Result: Boogie won!

He chose to save... Ian! OMG. Was this the right decision?

Willie's plans are ruined. Janelle and Britney's plans are fulfilled.

Have Nots: Each coach chooses one of their players to be a have not.

Britney: Shane, Dan: Danielle, Janelle: Ashley, Boogie: Ian

They get to eat slop and sleep in the have not room which is spiral-inspired. The beds are metal and slanted! Awful.

Politics

Boogie suggests that Willie nominate Joe. I don't know if he's aware that Team Janelle and Team Britney are in an alliance -- or Willie just looks so confused, he thinks he can make a play.
