Benjamin Boehm - International Spotlight
Before we even get into things...can I say I love how Nouvelle Star sets up performances! The stage is beautiful, the camera work is fantastic...and *gasp*, the performances all are near the 3 minute mark! ...and more gasp...they actually show the song and artist in text when the performance starts! Also it's a female Ryan Seacrest.
Right, off to Benjamin...unfortunately it is really hard to find out a lot of personally information about him, with the French thing and all. He participated in La Nouvelle Star 2010 (Season 8), which ended just recently. Benjamin is the tender age of 16 and he hails from Strasbourg. So! Let's just get into it.

I already know that he will not be everyone's cup of tea, but that's okay, because I don't have a problem at all drinking up. We discussed before that I have giant appreciation for a unique tone...and he has one. While I could not call him the best vocalist I have ever heard in my life, there is just something about him, and the way that he performs that seems so raw and authentic. He just seems like he sings with pure passion, and for the love of music and performing. I also get a great sense that even at the age of a 16, he already has a very good idea of who he is as an artist. Ben seems right up my alley, if he made an album, I would absolutely love it.
I dig this kid.

Benjamin placed 5th, which I think is actually pretty darn admirable. :)
