A year after entering into a civil partnership with Australian composer Mark Bradshaw, Skyfall actor Ben Whishaw has officially come out and is confirming their relationship to the public.
"Ben has never hidden his sexuality, but like many actors he prefers not to discuss his family or life outside of his work," Whishaw's spokesman tells The Daily Mail. "Due to speculation, I can confirm that Ben and Mark entered into a civil partnership in August 2012. They were proud to do so and are very happy."
With the Queen's recent, official legalization of gay marriage, Whishaw and Bradshaw can now wed, if they so choose. The couple met on the set of Jane Campion's 2009 film, Bright Star, in which Whishaw played poet John Keats, while Bradshaw provided the film's score.
