TVLine.com is reporting that Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel, who played Cory Matthews and Topanga Lawrence, respectively, on the 90s ABC sitcom 'Boy Meets World', will reprise their roles for the upcoming 'Girl Meets World' pilot. The series will follow the coming-of-age of Cory and Topanga's 13 year-old daughter, Riley. A nationwide casting search is underway for the role of Riley, so if you have any thirteen year-old girls in your family, by all means, have at it. This marks the return to TV for both Savage and Fishel, and hey, as a 90s kid, I'm always happy to see a Savage on my screen, particularly since The Wonder Years isn't going to be coming to DVD any time soon (music rights issues are a real SOB).

Of course, I'm sure what people really want to know is whether Will Friedle or Rider Strong will return, or William Daniels as Mr. Feeny, to continue in the hilarious tradition of teaching only the spawn of the Matthews clan. On that score, there's no news just yet, but I can't possibly be the only one keeping his fingers crossed for the return of the motorcyle-riding, leather jacket-wearing, backwards chair-sitting "cool" teacher, Mr. Turner, no?

The pilot is still in the very early stages of development with Boy Meets World creator and executive producer Michael Jacobs at the helm, so hopefully we'll have more news as it rolls in.

UPDATE: Savage has confirmed his role in the series on his official Twitter.

@BenSavage: I'm going to be a father! Well, on TV at least. The "Boy Meets World" sequel is officially happening!
