Behold! Official Ghostbusters LEGO Set Unveiled - Photos

In the event you needed proof that the world was a wonderful place, LEGO has unveiled the official Ghostbusters LEGO set!

The Ghostbusters LEGO set will feature the Ecto-1, the ghost-fighting team's iconic vehicle, and minifigures of the Ghostbusters themselves: Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, Egon Spengler and Winston Zeddemore. The 508-piece Ecto-1 set also includes the team's "paranormal detection equipment," Ghostbusters logo decorations, a tracking computer, a removable roof and seating for three minifigures, which means one of the Ghostbusters will have to hitch a ride to wherever the ghosts are hanging. So, without further adieu, check out the first photos of the new set below:

The original concept for the set comes from Brent Waller, a 3D Environment Artist in the video game industry from Brisbane, Australia. His design concept was subitted to Lego CUUSOO, which provides fans the chance to offer ideas for sets. If the set is approved and goes into production, the original designer receives 1 percent of the toy's royalties.

The official Ghostbusters LEGO set will arrive in June, just in time for the 30th Anniversary of the blockbuster film franchise. Rejoice!
