'Beauty and the Beast' Star Max Brown Joins 'Sleepy Hollow' Season 2

Sleepy Hollow is adding a Beauty and the Beast alum to its ranks.

Max Brown has been cast in a major role for Season 2 of Sleepy Hollow. Best known to audiences for his role on The CW's Beauty and the Beast as medical examiner Evan Marks (whom I still totally miss, let's be real), Brown has had a bit of a tumultuous relationship with FOX this year. He was cast as the lead in the much-hyped, hotly-anticipated series Hieroglyph, a series set in Ancient Egypt. However, the series was abruptly canceled before it had the chance to premiere, leaving Brown out of a job. But no worries, as Brown has landed in what is potentially a huge role on Sleepy Hollow. He'll reportedly play “a powerful and mysterious new ally known, at first, only as Orion—a charismatic soldier who possesses a game changing weapon.”

Brown will make his first appearance in the midseason premiere in January, once the show returns from its winter break.

This is awesome news, as Brown is immensely talented, particularly when it comes to play characters who have something to hide, like Edward Seymour on The Tudors. I'd love to have him back on Beauty and the Beast, but even though BATB has one of the strongest social media presences on the net, not even a #SaveEvanMarks campaign could resurrect him. I suppose it's just as well though, since Brown is moving on to similarly mysterious, roguish roles. And I suspect he'll be fantastic.

So who is the mysterious Orion? And what effect will he have on the show? Sound off in the comments!

"Yes, I was on Beauty and the Beast. No, it has nothing to do with why I look like Jay Ryan in this picture."
