'Batman vs. Superman' Title and Poster Revealed

The sequel for Man of Steel has long been under the working title of Batman vs. Superman, as it will unite Henry Cavill's Man of Steel with Ben Affleck's Dark Knight. But now, the official release title has been revealed along with a particularly badass poster. So what will the film be called?

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice

Yes, the working title ended up being the release title, although this is one situation where I can't begrudge Warner Bros. and DC for going with the obvious. Besides, obvious can be a good thing, such as with the reveal of the official poster and logo:

The movie is picking up all sorts of steam with the recent start of filming, as director Zack Snyder unveiled the first look at Ben Affleck as Batman alongside the new Batmobile, and DC Comics has unveiled that this movie is just one of nine upcoming films. The title for this film, in particular, references the sequel's status as a jumping off point for the Justice League movie that will come in 2018.

All in all, it's really hard not to be stoked for May 6, 2016, when Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice will finally hit theaters.
