'Automata' Trailer Features Antonio Banderas and Robots (VIDEO)

The latest project for Antonio Banderas is a bit surprising: not only is it a much buzzed-about sci-fi action adventure, it's a film that will release in theaters and VOD simultaneously on October 10th. So...what is Automata?

The film, from director Gabe Ibáñez, tells the story of an insurance agent (Banderas) of a robotics corporation in 2044 who comes to learn that the robots that have become ubiquitous in society might actually be far more human than anyone realizes. Automata features a pretty interesting cast, including Dylan McDermott as an anti-robot human, and Melanie Griffith as...not Antonio Banderas's ex-wife.
