Ashley Williams Returning to 'How I Met Your Mother'

How I Met Your Mother is bringing back some more familiar faces for its final season.

Ashley Williams, who has played Ted's on-again/off-again love Victoria, will be making one last appearance before the series finale this spring.

There are no specifics on the storyline nature of Victoria's appearance, other than that it will occur in Season 9's 19th episode, which is expected to shoot this month and air around April.

This will be the first appearance on the show for Ashley Williams since Victoria briefly rekindled her romance with Ted (Josh Radnor) last season, a relationship that ended when Ted refused to cut ties with Robin (Cobie Smulders). Williams has kept busy since then, having landed a starring role in the Broadway adaptation of John Grisham’s A Time to Kill. All in all, this is pretty great news. Victoria is easily my favorite of Ted's myriad ex-girlfriends, and someone I still wish could have turned out to be The Mother.
