Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross are Engaged

Ashlee Simpson and her actor/musician boyfriend Evan Ross (son of Diana Ross) are officially engaged.

Which means that Ashlee Simpson's mother-in-law is going to be Diana Ross! Talk about a terrifying MIL.

Simpson shared the news on Twitter, writing to her fans:

Ross also tweeted the announcement along with the same picture, gushing:

The duo revealed that they were an item back in July of 2013 and in November the Mockingjay actor admitted that she was "the one."

This will be Simpson's second marriage. You may recall her first was with Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz with whom she had her 5-year-old son Bronx Mowgli.

Congratulations are certainly in order!
