'Arrow' Casts Peter Stormare for Season 3 as...

Arrow is loading up its cast for Season 3. After the addition of Devon Aoki to the ensemble as the dangerous Katana, The CW has confirmed that a new Count is on the way.

Peter Stormare has been cast in the role of Werner Zytle in the Season 3 premiere of Arrow. If he looks familiar to you, you might recognize him as Red Reddington's greatest nemesis on The Blacklist -- the mysterious and deadly Berlin, whom we meet in the first season finale. Stormare also has a significant role in the recent hit, 22 Jump Street.

As for Stormare's Arrow role, he'll be filling a crucial vacancy in the cast.

In the New 52 comics by DC, Werner Zytle is the alias of Count Vertigo, one of Green Arrow's foes. However, on the series, Zytle is introduced as "the new purveyor of the drug Vertigo, filling the role left vacant since the death of The Count (Fringe's Seth Gabel) last season." Zytle, who will go by the name Vertigo in the show, will be the first villain the team squares off against in the third season. Sounds like a good time.

Arrow Season 3 premieres on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 8/7c on The CW.
