Ariana Grande being sued for 'The Way'

Some petty plaintiff is trying to play some games and mess with pop star Ariana Grande's money that she has made from her hit song "The Way."
Minder Music is suing Grande saying the phrase that is used in the intro to her song "what we're going to do is go back" is similar to "What we’re gonna do right here is go back, way back, back into time" in "Troglodyte" by 1970s disco and funk group, The Jimmy Castor Bunch.
However, phrases similar to that have also been used in songs by N.W.A, Christina Aguilera, and more. But Minder Music says the phrase is "iconic" and can't be used without license.
"Minder Music is seeking a declaration of willful infringement, a permanent injunction, statutory damages of $150,000 per infringement, and further attorneys' fees."
Girl, bye. Leave #TeamGrande alone. Or she can just throw the $150k at them.
