Ariana Grande started acting to get record deal, plans to quit after 'Sam & Cat'
Ariana Grande first rose to fame as Cat on Victorious, but has now revealed she doesn't like acting, only started to get a music deal - and plans to quit soon!

The "Right There" singer has admitted to only taking her role in Sam & Cat to get a record deal. She said, "I never liked acting. I auditioned for TV just to get a platform to get a record deal and then I fell in love with acting because it was fun."

She plans to focus solely on her music career after the Nickelodeon show is done, saying, "After I'm done playing Cat Valentine I don't see myself doing much acting, but I would do a scary movie or a musical."

Ariana took home Best New Artist at this year's American Music Awards for her success and hit album, Yours Truly.
