'Argo' Scribe Chris Terrio Writing 'Batman vs. Superman'
Oscar-winning screenwriter Chris Terrio is being brought in to write a draft for the upcoming sequel to Man of Steel, which is rumored to have a Batman vs. Superman theme.
Terrio won an Oscar for Argo, which was directed by Ben Affleck, who has been chosen to play Bruce Wayne/Batman in the hotly-anticipated superhero blockbuster. Naturally, Terrio's close relationship with Warner Bros. as well as Affleck made him a natural fit for the role. David S. Goyer (screenwriter for Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy) has already written a script for the film, but sources say Terrio has been brought in to get the script in shape before filming starts.
The Zack Snyder-directed movie will also feature Henry Cavill and Amy Adams reprising their roles as Clark Kent/Superman and Lois Lane, respectively; in addition, Fast & Furious star Gal Gadot is on-board as Wonder Woman, while Game of Thrones star Jasom Momoa is in talks for a major role. Several exterior scenes were shot over the fall, although principal photography doesn't begin until early 2014 in Michigan. The shoot is expected to last through August, in order for the film to meet its July 17, 2015 release date.
