Anna Kendrick Will Be the Lead in a Troll Doll Movie (Okay Then)

DreamWorks is making a Trolls feature film (based on those Troll dolls from your childhood) and Anna Kendrick will be voicing the lead ... troll.

The film/musical comedy currently has a Nov. 4, 2016 release date and will be directed and produced by Mike Mitchell and Gina Shay, who worked together on Shrek Forever After.

Kendrick will provide the speaking and singing voice for Poppy, an upbeat princess.

Said Mitchell of their casting choice, "Anna has proven herself to be a brilliant actress with an amazing singing voice. She'll inject Poppy with the exact mix of spirit, sass and song that will no doubt give a whole new life to the iconic Troll dolls."

Of course this isn't the only musical that Kendrick is attached to.

She also has a Pitch Perfect sequel on the way as well as a film remake of Into the Woods coming where she plays Cinderella.
