With the finale for season 12 of American Idol a little over a week away, the lineup of performers for the two-hour results telecast is continuing to expand like some sort of red giant gone out of control (remember: astronomy is cool).
The Hollywood Reporter has learned that current top 3 finalist Angie Miller will duet with Adam Lambert. A rep for Lambert could not be reached, and FOX would not comment on the story, but sources close to the situation state that the deal is all but signed.
In addition, country group The Band Perry is scheduled to perform with fifth place finisher Janelle Arthur, while legendary crooner Frankie Valli will sing alongside the top 5 guys.
Several Idol alums have been asked back for the finale, including Academy Award-winner (and season three finalist) Jennifer Hudson and former judge, Jennifer Lopez. Though Hudson has yet to officially commit to the May 16 special, Lopez is reportedly on-board to perform on the special.
The two night finale airs live from Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre on May 15 and 16. The three remaining finalists -- Miller, Kree Harrison and Candice Glover -- will compete on Wednesday's show for the two finale spots.
