Andrea Faustini sings 'Wrecking Ball' on The X Factor UK 2014 (VIDEO)

Andrea Faustini sang 'Wrecking Ball' on The X Factor UK Semifinals on December 6, 2014.

I'm probably getting a bit hyperbolic today, but dammit, this may have been my favorite version of the song (he's neck-and-neck with Ricky Manning and Matthew Schuler's respective versions on The Voice). Andrea brought it like crazy here, and you could tell just how badly he wants this.

I really wish we'd have gotten this version of Andrea sooner, the guy who does Sia, and Muse, and even Miley Cyrus, as opposed to the guy doing diva songs every week. I feel like I'm finally beginning to see where Andrea fits into the current musical landscape. Andrea NEEDS to be in the final next week, because I think he still has so much more to give to this competition, and can prove himself even more than he has already. Of course, to offer at least a little criticism, I thought it was a mistake to throw in a key change and try to make this into a soaring, winning coronation-type song, since that just isn't what this song is. It also seemed to throw Andrea off a bit. But I still loved this to pieces. Andrea is just a really special talent, between his voice and likability. I really hope he makes it through.

But what do you think of Andrea Faustini?
