Andrea Faustini sings 'O Holy Night' on The X Factor UK 2014 (VIDEO)

Andrea Faustini sang 'O Holy Night' on The X Factor UK Semifinals on December 6, 2014.

Honestly, although I wouldn't argue against anyone who wants to say Andrea oversang this, I absolutely loved this performance. Granted, it's one of my favorite Christmas songs, but I've heard this butchered so many times that I immediately become a little leery any time I hear a contestant is going to sing this. Not that I necessarily worried about Andrea bombing, since he's taken on far bigger songs than this, but I wasn't entirely sure his voice would mesh with such a traditional track. But I was really glad to be proven wrong here.

This was just brimming with passion and feeling, and nearly turned my entire opinion around on having a Christmas theme in the first place. I don't blame Mel B for fighting back tears, or Simon for giving this a standing ovation. Some of the notes and runs he hit here were incredible, and I think, unless he completely blows it on his second song, that he should be able to make it into the finale. If nothing else, I truly believe he deserves to be there.

But what do you think of Andrea Faustini?
