The anticipation for Anchorman 2 has reached a fever pitch among devoted fans of the original 2004 comedy, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. And so the time comes to rejoice, as Christmas is coming a bit earlier this year for Ron Burgundy devotees.

Paramount Pictures has moved up the release date of Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues by two days. The film will now hit theaters on Wednesday, Dec. 18, as opposed to Dec. 20, the Friday before Christmas. It's already a packed Wednesday for release as Spike Jonze's critically-acclaimed Her hits theaters, as does David O. Russell's Oscar frontrunner American Hustle. But the earlier release gives the Will Ferrell comedy a head start on the Friday releases, as Disney's Walking With Dinosaurs hits theaters, while Saving Mr. Banks and Inside Llewyn Davis expand nationally.

So bring on the goods, Channel 4 news team. And stay classy.
