Amy Winehouse Autopsy - No Illegal Drugs, but Alcohol Present

Amy Winehouse had no illegal drugs in her system when she died, reports the AP on the results of the late singer's toxicology test. There was alcohol present, but it is unknown if it had contributed to her death.

I guess this rules out drug overdose that everyone was suspecting. Amy vindicated!

Amy Winehouse’s toxicology report showed the singer had no illegal drugs in her system when she died, according to a statement released on behalf of Winehouse’s family. The statement said authorities sent results to the family that confirmed there were no illegal substances in Winehouse’s blood, but that alcohol was present, though it hasn’t been determined if it played a role in the death. The family has said that they suspect alcohol withdrawal– from quitting cold turkey – resulted in her death.
