America's Next Top Model - Cycle 20 Episode 14 - Recap - The Guy Who Becomes a Bat
The CW sends another episode of America's Next Top Model our way after a week off. Unless the finale is split into two episodes, this will be the second-to-last of the season! Check out what our models got up to in Bali.
Jourdan has best photo again, and chooses Cory to share the Tyra Suite with her. This makes sense, since there's not really any friction between them. Not like how she is with everyone else. Not like how everyone is with Chris. Even Cory gets started in on him, about how Chris wasn't there for Nina. They blame him for her getting voted out. Chris kept piling his problems on Nina, who lost focus and ended up losing. I feel kind of bad for Chris that he doesn't know how to exist in any kind of social environment. But also screw that guy, he sucks. Everyone's gunning for him now, wanting to throw him off so he gets booted.
The challenge this week is... fitness-based? Wwwwweird. The three remaining boys are pitted against one another, as are the two remaining girls. There's some basic calisthenics, then the big event is a race up a big thing of stairs. Girls first! Reneé has earned herself a headstart, and she makes it to the top. Then, Jourdan makes it up and almost immediately passes out. No drama from the boys. Marvin gets the headstart and wins. No surprise there! This is Marvin's first challenge win. The prize for Marvin and Reneé is a spa date, and we get a big dumb montage of thhem being gross cute together. Uuuuugh.
Photoshoot time! The twist today? Bats! BOOM. The models are posing with (and as) bats! Marvin does really well with his suspended upside down photo. He nails some poses that are unusual for him. It's quite refreshing. Jourdan's poses are also really nice. Competition is stiff this week. Reneé had the blood rush to her head, and she passed out a little bit! Oooooh noooo, poor Reneé! Luckily, Chris does bad. At first, anyway. They give him a little pep talk and then it's all "Oooh, good Chris that's great you're doing great" and just UGH. I want Chris to have lost weeks ago but he's still here like a jerk. Everyone on the show wants Chris to be eliminated!
Judging time! Jourdan has the judges groveling like usual. The one dude judge comes down hard on Cory like a total jerk, and Cory comes back in defense of his androgyny. Cory's pulling off his weird, slightly feminine look awesomely, forget the haters! Reneé gets totally slammed, no good at all. The judges basically tell Chris he's the worst thing that's ever happened and then give him two 8s and a 7?? I don't get the scoring even a little bit. Marvin pulls straight 9s. Best photo is obviously Jourdan here, no big shock. Marvin is our second finalist. Uuugh. I'm not a fan of him either. The three in danger of elimination are Chris, Cory, and Reneé. Only one will move on to the finals! And that one isn't Reneé. So who else gets the boot? Chris or Cory?? The eliminated dude is... Chris!! Finally! It took so long! Uuuuuugh! Cory ends up as a finalist.
This show is driving me insane! I'm glad Chris is finally gone, but it was at the expense of Nina. Now we're down to just three though, so it's all water under the bridge. I'm still lead cheerleader for Team Cory! Let me know who you want to win in the comments and check out this preview below!
