America's Next Top Model - Cycle 20 Episode 13 - Recap & Results - The Girl Who Gets Kissed on an Elephant
The CW brings us another does of America's Next Top Model (2.0 Boys In the House!) this week, and it's pretty stressful. There's a lot of feelings this week. It's all very emotional! If you're a bit behind, well first of all why are you reading spoilers?? Anyway, a catch up: The models are in Bali. Nina won best photo last week.
The models get treated to a visit from host Tyra Banks, all except Marvin. He's out back crying instead, so Tyra goes to comfort him, much to Marvin's surprise! Everyone gets their turn eventually. It ends up being this neat little group therapy session, with Tyra as moderator. I like this part because it injects some much needed heart into the cycle. A lot of the feelings come to the surface, including Chris being a total jerk yet again (regarding Nina this time). He is a brat and I hope he loses!! Everyone else tells her to not let him be so mean anymore. He's annoying everyone hates him so much. Literally the whole of the first two segments of the show are spent on talking about how bad and mean Chris is.
This is Chris, a jerk.
Anyway, photo shoot time! That's right, no challenge this week! There's an Indonesian designer (with the same haircut as me) and a deaf eleven-year-old designer (who is super good at designing clothes). They're out in a rice field to take pictures, and it's kind of awkward (but then again, that's why this show rules). Marvin actually takes pretty good pictures this time! Reneé gets some criticism from the photographers, but I'm hoping she took it well and turned out some good photos. Cory totally nailed it, naturally. Jourdan fell into the rice hole and got covered in snake poop! Hahaha, good. Chris spent the shoot whining and complaining, boo hoo hoo shut up Chris. Nina doesn't do great, but it seems like she reacted to direction really well. I think Jeremy does pretty well, but nothing to write home about.
After the shoot, the models get to enjoy their Bali time. Chris, Reneé, Nina, and Cory go see a shaman, which is good because these kids have got to chill. The rest go visit a zoo and hang out with monkeys! They get to their vacation house place, which (twist!) has only one real bed. Chris is of course a huge friggin' baby when they're trying to figure out sleeping arrangements. The next day, everyone goes to hang out with some elephants, which is totally sweet. There's even a little baby, ahhhh! The models get to go on an elephant ride, and of course everyone encourages Marvin and Reneé (Marneé, as they're called) to kiss on their elephant, so they do. Awwwww!
Judgment time is upon us! The models suspect a double elimination, and rightly so! Two models are headed home this week, dependent wholly on their photo! Marvin gets a lot of praise, getting straight 9s. The judges are split on Reneé, and on Jourdan. Tyra and Kelly don't like Reneé's shot, but the other guy doesn't like Jourdan. Cory's shot gets a ton of praise for his androgyny, well-deserved. Social media loved Nina's shot, but the judges were rather cold on it. I liked her, but I always do! The fans also loved Chris's shot, and so do the judges. Booooo!! Jeremy hits straight 7s, but since this isn't a slot machine, that's not a good thing.
Top two are Jourdan and Marvin, with Cory close behind and Reneé after. That makes the bottom trio Chris, Jeremy, and Nina. Watching this part was so stressful for me because I don't like either of those dudes and really like Nina a lot! Going home this week first is... Nina :( :( :( I'm very upset. Joining her is... Jeremy! Boom, eliminated twice! Uuuuuuggghh, why is Chris still in this competition?? I hate Chris. He's a bad model and a bad person. Watching poor Nina cry when she was eliminated just broke my dumb heart. She talks about how she'd been dreaming about this from age 8 and oof. Really hits the feelings pretty hard.
I am starting to get pretty stressed out watching this show as we near the very end of the cycle! Seeing Nina eliminated instead of Chris was just heartbreaking, especially after how he treated her in this episode. Well, she's gone now, so blah. Check out a preview for this episode below!
