America's Next Top Model - Cycle 20 Episode 11 - The Girl Who Gets Punked - Recap & Results

Finally, The CW gives us a new episode of America's Next Top Model, with Tyra Banks. Last week, I didn't have a recap because the episode was a look back on the highlights, the dreaded recap episode. Instead of recapping a recap, I took the week off. But, here we are, back to find out the returning male model from the social media campaign, The Comeback Series!

And the returning male model, the man with the highest social media score, is... Jeremy!! I'm not happy about this, but then again, all three guys that could have come back just... weren't great. But of the three of them (Jeremy, Mike, Phil), the best of was for sure Phil. Alexandra, whose return was announced last new episode, is super happy to be back, but... I wish it had been Kanani. Oh well! Chris, as the winner of the most recent best photo, gets to dress up from the Guess closet. He chooses Alexandra to join him, which makes Nina upset. I'm a little upset too because seriously who even is Alexandra. Nina is way cool.

In the challenge this week, the models are tasked with taking direction. They're dressed up in ridiculous outfits and put in front of a green screen. The direction is coming from a made-up director being played by Reggie Watts, and he's really just asking them to do weirdo nonsense. There's a big stuffed camel head as part of the set, and when Renee sees this, she freaks out. She got some irrational fear of big... suits? Costumes? Like, fur-suit type of stuff just flips her lid in the worst way. Renee still worked through it, despite another small jump when the unicorn head appears.

After the challenge, wow. Stuff gets very real. Chris acts like a brat when he's tasked with doing the dishes. He leaves a note for Renee, saying he won't wash her super dirty dishes. she takes a stand and won't wash it, and hopes no one will ever wash it, which is really funny even if she's also being a jerk. Renee talks about how nobody loves him, and Jourdan joins in, so Jeremy fires back that Jourdan doesn't know jack about love because she got divorced at nineteen. Damn dude. That's cold. Luckily, the neutral parties prevent a fist fight. Later, Cory steps in to mediate, telling all four involved (and self-involved) brats to knock it off and just apologize. And this is why I want to be Cory's best friend.

This week's photoshoot is in a highschool. The models will be made to accentuate their flaws. They're being given fake flaws, but I guess it's fine. To assist here is male supermodel Shaun Ross. He's albino and has made his pigmentation into his strength. The other guest is some Disney channel lady called Zendaya. I don't know who she is, but Marvin seems excited. Anyway, the models are given flaw like gap teeth, big forehead, bad hair. Nothing too major. Chris is the only one who seems to do badly, which delights Renee to no end.

There was a screenshot of Cory i wanted to post, but I couldn't find it anywhere, so here's this GIF instead

Scoring time! Don nails it. Jeremy does okay. The other guys get slammed, but their scores aren't too bad. Alexandra is a bit shaky (she's got a secret heart disorder of some kind), but gets straight 7s. Nina's photo is amazing. Renee blows everyone out of the water with two 9s and a 10. Alexandra ends up having to leave the stage because of her condition, but the announcement of the winners and loser go on while she rests.

Top score this week goes to Nina, proving the value of social media scores. Don is runner-up. Bottom two are Chris and Alexandra. Just coming back via social media, this is disappointing for Alexandra. Or, it would be if she were there. Chris can do much better, according to Tyra. I'm not convinced. The eliminated model, the only competitor not headed to Bali for the next episode is... Alexandra! I'm pretty okay with this, since I don't remember who she is and I don't care about her being on the show at all. But, Chris sucks and I want him to be eliminated.

What a fun episode this week! They had a lot to make up for what with giving us a two week wait to resolve that comeback cliffhanger. Pulling a prank on the models was great, since I love when the models have to do stupid stuff and look like morons. Plus, all the house drama! I love the house drama! The fighting and the cattiness was great, and it made me not even notice the lack of love drama. Overall a great episode! Check out this video below for a little more of Chris and Alexandra in the Guess closet, where their dialogue is weirdly prophetic.
