'American Idol' Star Brooke White Welcomes Baby Boy

Congratulations are in order for a former American Idol star: Brooke White has given birth to a baby boy!

The news was announced on Instagram over the weekend, as Brooke snapped a photo alongside her husband, Dave Ray, and their beautiful, newborn boy, Sonny John Ray. This is their second child, as they have a four-year-old daughter, London. Accompanying the adorable photo of Brooke, Dave and baby Sonny is an equally endearing caption about their obsession "with our butterball!" Check out the picture below:

Happy Sunday!! Look who finally had a baby! We are so pleased to introduce you to our not so little- little man, Sonny John Ray. Pushed him out yesterday 9/3/16 at 7:08 pm at a whopping 9lbs 9oz and 22 in! He's alert and amazing and already giving us smiles. couldn't be more obsessed with our butterball! Can't wait for him to meet his big sister. So grateful! More details to come on his birth, but I gotta feed a hungry kid! ???

Wow. Thank you everyone for your love. Where do I even begin. My phone is overloading and my heart is just exploding and the overgrammin' could get heavy so I started a personal Account to let it all out. What a stunningly cute baby! I couldn't be happier for the couple. Seriously, Brooke has come a long way since Season 7 of Idol, from EPs and full-length albums covering everything from pop music to Christmas standards and lullabies, to earning a top 50 single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. And now a second child! Congratulations to both Brooke and her husband, and all the best wishes for the future!
