American Idol - Season 6 TV Ratings

MJ posted the final ratings chart for Season 6 of American Idol.

Ratings are down from last year (but comparable to Season 4), and it declined steadily from the 37.4 million viewers from the season premiere this year. But what is interesting is that after Sanjaya was eliminated in the Top 7 with a viewership of 29.9 million -- no other Idol show after beat that night except the finale. So there are numbers now to back the claim that people lost interest after Sanjaya left.

One other interesting stat: The Top 2 performance night was the second third lowest rated show of Idol this year. Ouch.

The lowest rated? The Top 3 performance night. Double ouch.
