American Idol Rewind - 60's Medley

The Top 10 of American Idol Season One perform a 60's medley. All I can say is: it is so nice to see the gays perform on Idol! Season One was the year that the gays owned the Idol stage, and I doubt we will see that kind of collection of gays on Idol ever again. Look at them! Isn't it awesome?

Also, notice that the girls are all "beautiful" -- these five girls could easily be in a girl-band together. I think Nigel and Fox made a brilliant move to include more diversity in their casting for the next seasons particularly with the girls. Instead of trying to conform to the Nikki McKibbin look -- we can now accept that someone like Melinda Doolittle or LaKisha Jones can be a pop star. It's pretty amazing actually. You've come a long way Idol. Bravo.

Now if they can only bring back more gays. Girls love the gays didn't you know that? Or just simply be sexually ambiguous -- it gives everyone hope. It's a winning formula!
