American Idol - Recap - 04/03/2007

I think this is Mr. Malakar sharing an awkward moment with Seacrest on the show. Did anybody else notice this?

Performances:

Blake Lewis -- Mack the Knife -- yay!
Phil Stacey -- Night and Day -- I liked it, but everyone else seems to hate it. Hmmm. Looking at dialidol, it looks like Phil will survive this performance and singing #2.
Melinda Doolittle -- I Got Rhythm -- The judges have nothing left to say since Melinda has all but been crowned the winner. They should thank Sanjaya for actually bringing entertainment into this show. I still love Melinda, but is this it? There are 8 more weeks to go, and the praise already sounds like a broken record.
Chris Richardson -- Mr. Saturday Dance Don’t Get Around Much Anymore -- I don't know why some people don't like Chris. He has one of the biggest fanbases this year.
Jordin Sparks -- On A Clear Day -- Sanjaya's best friend on the show. We love her.
Gina Glocksen -- Smile -- It's really hard to be Gina in American Idol 6 with Melinda, LaKisha and Jordin hanging around. At least she's not scraping the bottom like Haley.
Sanjaya Malakar -- Cheek to Cheek -- The haters have been unusually quiet tonight. That's it? Sanjaya dances with Paula and everyone shuts up? C'mon bring it. Hate on the hair, hate on the over-sized white suit, hate on the singing, hate on the dancing. Say that Sanjaya destroyed American Idol again tonight, like every night that he's been and will be on the show.
Haley Scarnato -- Ain't Bisbehavin' -- The sexy-thing saved her one time, can she pull it off again? Singing second to last is not helping her it seems.
LaKisha Jones -- Stormy Weather -- I really loved it when LaKisha did her scary-face thing during the auditions. Nice to see some of the spark back after a couple of lackluster and buzz-less weeks.
