American Idol online voting to be introduced this season - Nigel Lythgoe

Nigel Lythgoe tells the Atlanta Journal-Constitution: “We are going to introduce online voting.” No details yet.

From Atlanta Journal-Constitution:

Executive producer Nigel Lythgoe just told me that online voting is going to be added this season. Though a publicist later told me it was not a done deal, Lythgoe’s exact quote to me was affirmative: “We are going to introduce online voting.”

He was unsure about the details and whether there’d be any limits on the voting online. He did say that there are no plans to limit texts or voice calls. I videotaped the interview, which was rather brief.
