American Idol Nashville Auditions - Recap
Steven Tyler declares that they found "the one" in Nashville. That "one" is Lauren Alaina -- who was pimped by executive producer Nigel Lythgoe as the second coming of Kelly Clarkson. I'm going to forget the Kelly comparison, because that's a bit unfair, but I will say that I really really really love Lauren. I hope she gets far and she has my vote.
The other stand-out for me was Paul McDonald who got 10-seconds of audition time in. It's a bit early, but I think he's the real "the one". He's recorded a couple of albums already -- just like the past three winners of show: David Cook, Kris Allen and Lee DeWyze. He's also from Alabama -- and that state votes in droves. Get back to me later when he's in the finale!
Tonight was a light night of auditions compared to the heavy-handed 2-hours from Milwaukee, which made it a bit more enjoyable. I love this show!
