American Idol 'Jumping the Shark' News Articles - Not 'If' but 'When'

This pisses me off a little bit because every year, these are the same types of articles that get written when American Idol comes around. Where's the creativity Media? We've had almost a decade of this and I think it's time we put the "jumping the shark" articles to rest.
If you are one of the people lamenting that American Idol has jumped the shark or are wondering if it already has, I have some good news for you: American Idol jumped the shark a long long time ago, you just didn't care when it happened or wasn't paying attention.
Here is a collection in poll form of some moments when American Idol jumped the shark and never looked back. And quite frankly, I love it. This show is a trainwreck. The fact that it has seemingly gotten so many things wrong and still be the #1 non-special event show in America for years makes it a modern miracle in TV programming.
If you thought that Adam Lambert not winning is jumping the shark, then I'm assuming you liked "From Justin to Kelly" way back in Season 1. That was horrible, please adjust your standards.
