American Idol Country/Philly Show Recap
I'm a little bit emotionally drained. I'm just a sucker for this cry-cry thing. Simon tried to break the mushiness by just mindlessly attacking Anthony (who was surprisingly great), but with Vonzell (and Carrie) crying and the parent-thing, the show had mush all over it. I think Simon hit the panic button a little bit since Carrie was not on point tonight, and he explicitly said it was the band's fault that Carrie's song was terrible and not Carrie. Something's going on in the background, don't you think? Stayed tuned... Oh, and VOTE FOR ANTHONY FEDOROV!
Can you sense the panic in the air? Maybe that's why everybody's crying... the pressure is on, the fans are going crazy.
Update: So I voted for two hours straight, well I tried to at least. I could not get through the busy signal. I'm very worried. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing. West Coast people don't give up!

Update: Ok so I'm going for the consipracy theory now while making the videos. Carrie's version of Sin Wagon was more than 2 minutes long, a good 30 seconds more than last year's Amy Adams's version. Carrie's version of If You Don't Know Me By Now was also almost 30 seconds longer than Anthony's. Is it all about airtime?
However, Vonzell's How Can I Live tonight was a whopping 2:40 -- so it was slow like Randy said. She really looked like she had a hard time with it, not speaking of external emotional stuff, but just singing it -- notice the hanging on to the mic stand action? Maybe this is what Paula was alluding to that she couldn't get the song right during practice.
