American Idol Calls Accidentally Got Routed To... A Pizza Place
Awkward.
Last Wednesday night American Idol calls apparently got routed to Gordy's Pizza & Pasta in Port Angeles, Washington, for two hours, resulting in a "frenzy" of calls that interfered with their usual customer line.
The owner Randy Sexton said that staff answered every one, expecting it to be a sudden rush in customers but were disappointed each time it was a viewer trying to vote. What's more, the numbers weren't even similar!
A spokesperson for American Idol said they were trying to fix the problem, but Randy just hopes it sorted in time for this week's episode. On the bright side, free advertising!
