American Idol Baker’s Dozen: “Wild” (Card) Thing, I (Don’t) Think I Love Ya

Like a mental patient’s mantra, the unremitting drumbeat of advice from American Idol’s judges has always been to “bring it on” and for each Idol wannabe to “sing well”. Yet week after seeming week, performance after each performance, the judges forwent their own words-to-live-by and relentlessly blabber on about the marketability of the contestant, or the commerciality, or their wardrobe or who Kara DeMentalPatient wanted to go shopping or karaoke with. It’s enough to boggle your mind and implore that they finally put this old cow out to pasture (the show, not Kara…although…). It’s hypocrisy 101.
