American Idol 9 Top 9 Studio Recordings Available Now
A couple of big misses this week and one clear winner. But for the most part, a good batch of recordings this week. My quick reviews:
Aaron Kelly
Beautiful. Aaron's voice does not disappoint in his recordings. It's unfortunate that his live was not as good as this.

Katie Stevens
Katie's best performance and her best recording. I will have to agree with Simon Cowell -- the 'country sound' that Katie unconsciously adds here is good for her! Don't resist Katie -- channel Taylor Swift!

Andrew Garcia
Awful. This arrangement is horrible. Omigosh -- Andrew! Get it together man -- it's been more than a month! A few months from now, you're going to look back at the past few weeks and realize: What the heck was I doing?
This is like a bad dream every week and he can't snap out of it.

Michael Lynche
Just too over the top for me. This recording sounded more Broadway showtune than the R&B/Soul that Big Mike is trying to package himself as an artist. A big miss.

Crystal Bowersox
Note: The didgeridoo makes its presence felt in this recording! Hahaha. I highly recommend this track for the didgeridoo alone. I'm still partial to Carly Smithson's version from Season 7, but this is not bad. Go didgeridoo!

Tim sounding good again in his recording this week! Go Turban!

Casey James
A recording as good as his live performance. One of the best of the season.

Siobhan Magnus
Siobhan tones it down and is wonderful. I like this side of her. One of her better recordings.

Lee Dewyze
I'm a fan of all of Lee's recordings and this is no exception. Too bad there were no bagpipes! Loss of star there.
