American Idol 9 Top 7 Studio Recordings Available Now
Fortunately, the Inspirational Song recordings were better than the live performances on American Idol this week. My short reviews:
Casey James
Not bad. But again, a very safe recording. I assume his fans will be happy with this, but he needs to step it up if he wants to gain more fans... and maybe try to win? He's already singing songs he might do post-Idol. But if he doesn't get to the top, he may not get signed.

The best recording of the week. After Tim's elimination this week, I now think my Dark Horse pick will win. All Lee's studio recordings for the past few weeks just scream "winner" - he even out-recorded the front-runner this week, Crystal.

Tim Urban
This was amazing as I expected. Tim has consistently had great recordings week after week. One of his best recordings of the season.

Aaron Kelly
I loved this! Aaron just needs to work on his stage performance. I do hope he has a successful country music career after this show is over. I love the raw quality in his voice and the emotion he puts into his singing.

Siobhan Magnus
This didn't go anywhere for me, but it's decent. She tried to save it in the end though, maybe a bit too hard. What's happening Siobhan? Can she stop the bleeding?

Michael Lynche
Karoake, karaoke, karaoke. I really can't stand the affected singing on Big Mike's recordings. I can even imagine him pulling his head back on some notes when I listened to this.

Crystal Bowersox
Live was so much better. But her fans will appreciate this. Her best recording so far.
