American Idol 9 Top 4 - Recap + Roundup + Poll
First of all, I thought Jamie Foxx's 'Artist' t-shirt was so corny I just blocked it off. Really? He was going to take the t-shirt away if the Idols did not perform well? Really? A t-shirt?
Lee Dewyze - This was a poor song choice for Lee. Kiss From The Rose is an ambitious song that few have come back from unscathed. I worry for him tomorrow.
Michael Lynche - Unfortunately a worse song choice than Lee's and the Free Willy reference that Simon Cowell kept on pointing out didn't help Big Mike. I don't know what he was going for here.
Casey James - Mrs. Robinson is a really fun song choice! However it felt like a novelty song selection because the show has been playing up Casey's cougar relationship with Kara DioGuardi all season. Entertaining but not in a musical type of way.
Crystal Bowersox - I have never heard this song before, so it sounded like Crystal made it her own. Another solid performance from her in a night when the guys had questionable song choices.
Duets:
Casey James and Michael Lynche - I was not a big fan of this performance although a lot of fans loved it. Casey's opening vocals were just very bad for me, and the harmony on the big note in the end was excruciating. I would rank this as one of my all time worst performances on the show ever.
Crystal Bowersox and Lee Dewyze - Falling Slowly! This was great! I thought this was the best performance of the season. Crystal and Lee looked very comfortable on stage performing and this really worked for me.

Top 4 Recap - Let's Just Forget Tonight Even Happened (Vote for the Worst)
Finishing off the show is a duet between Casey and Mike on “Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?” Funny, Casey seems much more comfortable singing a love song with a dude. The goatiness is on full display. Then Casey takes the high harmonies and it’s a goat that got kicked in the balls. Loving that. Mike is just as cheesy as always too, so overall it’s pretty bad.
