American Idol 9 Top 20 (Top 10 Girls) - Recap + Poll + Roundup
What a night! The Crystal Bowersox medical drama continued tonight as fans wondered an hour before the show: will she or won't she?
Well, she did. And Crystal Bowersox had the best performance on the live shows this season with Long As I Can See The Light. Simon said it reminded him of when they "found" Kelly Clarkson.
The next best performance came at the end with Siobhan Magnus's Think. This girl is fearless! No wonder she is a huge fan favorite.
Other notables were: Lilly Scott who took a Change Is Gonna Come, and actually started a debate on Twitter tonight on who sang it better on Idol: Lilly or Adam? I have no comment!
Katelyn Epperly was liked by Simon and Kara -- although I thought the song was very slow. Lacey Brown also received praise from the judges for taking Kara's advice last week and singing Kiss Me.
My two favorite girls Katie Stevens and Didi Benami are just not catching a break at the moment with the judging. They said Katie looked old and didn't know who she was. And Didi's just having a nervous breakdown out there. I love you Didi!
Paige Miles and Michelle Delamor getting mixed reviews, and our other favorite Haeley Vaughn getting the worst comments of the night.
My picks to leave: Lacey Brown and Paige Miles (I'm so stubborn! They were my picks last week. Hahaha)
Who was your favorite?

American Idol recap, top 10 girls, with rankings (Rodney Ho) - It was Crystal Bowersox tonight and everybody else. There were some train-wreck song choices, some bold choices and one perfect choice, courtesy of Crystal.
American Idol: Top 10 Women (Miami Herald) - The girls top the guys if only because they don't take the stage like frightened mice.
The NGH Report – American Idol 9’s Top 10 Girls: “Come and get us!” (Joes Place Blog) - Whispers were growing louder throughout the week that Idol standout Crystal Bowersox would be disqualified due to medical reasons. Thank God that wasn’t the case because this season would be forever tainted if she had to leave.
‘American Idol’: Crystal Bowersox Leads Tough Girls’ Night (Maura Johnston) - ... tonight had a happy ending, with Crystal not only making it back to the ‘Idol’ stage, but a) referring to herself as a “tough cookie” and b) going first and c) absolutely nailing her performance.
Ann Powers: The 'Idol' girls try to go universal, but mostly miss (LA Times) - Crystal Bowersox, fresh from a hospitalization for complications of her Type 1 diabetes, invested her full voice and hopeful, weary heart into a reading of the Creedence Clearwater Revival song "I Can See the Light." Randy Jackson judged it best when he told her, guru style, "Truth is reality ... you are the truth."
