American Idol 9 L.A. Auditions Recap

American Idol 9 auditions come to Los Angeles at the Rose Bowl. Avril Lavigne and Katy Perry were guest judges.

Tonight's episode was good for laughs. I guess the cray crays came out to audition in droves or the actors playing cray crays just needed their 15 seconds on TV. I had a good laugh watching which made for a very entertaining hour.

Katy Perry stood out as a guest judge even confronting Kara DioGuardi a couple of times with some of her comments. Hahaha. Poor Kara. Am I the only one left in the Idol world who likes her?

As for the Golden Tickets, I was very happy to see Andrew Garcia given the full pimpage treatment. He's well on his way to the Top 10 I believe. He has a great emotional backstory and he is a singer/songwriter that can sing very well.

We also saw the audition of rumored Top 24 contestant Chris Golightly.

Finally, for the Jason Castro and Project Runway fans, Jason brother Michael and Daniel Franco of Project Runway Season 1 and 2 were featured in the "Adam Lambert Look-alikes" segment. LOL
