American Idol 9 Finale Recap + Poll
It's the finale of American Idol Season 9!
Lee DeWyze
The Boxer: A bit sleepy
Everybody Hurts: Simon said it was a perfect song choice for Lee
Beautiful Day: This is the single that Lee will release if he wins
My overall assessment is if Lee wins, it will be because of his Top 3 performance and not tonight's performances. He was a bit lethargic tonight and it looks like he was very nervous. I'm still rooting for him. Go Dark Horse!
Crystal Bowersox
Me and Bobby McGee: Great energy from Crystal!
Black Velvet: Giving it her all!
Up to the Mountain: Solid. She could win it all with this one performance.
Crystal has consistently been popular and may have sealed the deal by outshining Lee tonight. We'll find out tomorrow.
Personally, I am feeling sentimental that this was the final night of judging by Simon Cowell on American Idol. The next time we will see him judge is on The X Factor in the Fall of 2011 (or if you just need your Simon fix he's still on Britain's Got Talent and The UK X Factor this Fall which for us in the U.S. we can view on YouTube).
It was a great run. His final critique: "That was outstanding." Yes it was!
