American Idol 9 Drops Official Twitter and Facebook, Consolidates to ONE Twitter Account

A mass tweet and facebook status update today from the American Idol contestants indicate that American Idol has given up on their Twitter/Facebook/MySpace experiment. They now want everyone to get updates from the official American Idol website at americanidol.com and the official Twitter: @ai9contestants

LOL - I guess they figured out that Twitter followers and Facebook fans are like voting numbers.
